2020 was a particularly bad year for wildfires in Oregon. There was a freak windstorm that hit associated with a snowstorm in the Rockies. In the space of a few hours the wind changed direction and built up in speed and the cites of the Willamette Valley had the rare experience of feeling the anxiety of fire danger.
